Adaptive
reuse of 2-story nursing home into classroom building, 14,000 SF.
The owner desires a LEED certification for the building for which
E&M will participate in a charette, provide basic energy modeling
and compliance modeling and basic commissioning. Design includes
the reuse of existing geothermal wells with new distribution equipment
to suit the classrooms. The building is fully sprinklered and will
be reworked for the new spaces. New electric service will be added
to accommodate supplemental cooling system, as additional geothermal
wells are not within the budget. The building will have all new
energy efficient lighting, fire alarm system and power and data
for classrooms. Toilet rooms will be reoriented for use of a classroom
building.

to include current FAA regulations. Replacement of wiring along the
taxiways in accordance with general maintenance operations. |
