PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
Extensive infrastructure upgrades including air conditioning the
entire 260,000 SF school. MEP
renovations of 30,000 SF of the school and the addition of new
60,000 SF wing. Additions include a twenty-four (24) classroom
science and educational wing, featuring ten advanced technology
chemistry labs, and a choral music pavilion. The cafeteria was
renovated and expanded to create a 'food court' atmosphere.
MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
Added central cooling plant, 1500-tons. Updated 2-pipe system
with new unit ventilators and
controls throughout the building. Replacing some older AHU's.
New 100-bhp re-heat boiler.
Updating all controls to fully DDC.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
New 15KV tap of existing switch gear to feed addition. Replacing
fire alarm system. Replacing
clock system. Updating and expanded paging system. New 100KW emergency
generator.
All new energy efficient lighting in addition and retrofitting
existing lighting system with T8 lamps
and electronic ballasts.
PLUMBING SYSTEMS
Lab neutralization system for one hundred eight (108) new lab
sinks. Extending existing hot and cold water, gas piping system
for new classrooms/labs and public toilet rooms.
Updating some bathrooms to ADA. New connections to fully renovated
and expanded kitchen. New roof drainage system in areas of renovation.
Replacing
domestic booster system.
