PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
Upgraded
MEP systems throughout the 135,000 SF building and added a 4,000
SF two-story science wing addition.
The project required 10 phases during construction because only
two to four classrooms
were made available for each phase and a new electric service was
provided.
MECHANICAL
SYSTEMS
Added 160-ton air cooled chilled chiller to fully air condition
the previously partially conditioned building.
Replaced all unit ventilators and some air handling units due to
age.
Replaced pneumatic controls with DDC. At owners request, converted
4-pipe to 2-pipe system.
ELECTRICAL
SYSTEMS
New 2,500-amp electric service bringing building from 208/3Ø
to 480/3Ø.
New lighting throughout building for energy savings. Upgraded fire
alarm to ADA throughout.
Added receptacles and panelboards for expanded data systems.
PLUMBING SYSTEMS
Replaced domestic water system and booster pump. Replaced all
toilet room fixtures.
Added lab water piping in science addition.
