PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection renovation of historic
locomotive shop, approximately 40,000 SF, three-story into classroom building and office space.
Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection renovation of historic
administration building, 12,000 SF, three-story into dormitory
for Community Development Corporation.

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
Opportunity center has 200-ton air cooled chiller with air handling units on each floor,
modular boilers, VVR and DDC controls. Separate 24 hour room with split system cooling.
Independence House has air handling units on each floor with matching outdoor
condensing units, modular boilers and an heating and ventilating unit.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
PSE&G pad mounted transformer shared for both properties. Opportunity center has 800-amp,
277/480-volt service with panels and step down transformers in closets on each floor. Fire
alarm system, data communications and surge suppression. Independence House has 300-amp
120/208-volt service. Energy efficient fluorescent lighting.

PLUMBING SYSTEMS
Toilet rooms on each floor, fully sprinklered, sump pump, gas water heater.
