PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
MEP/FP design for new 60,000 SF seafood processing plant with
wholesale and retail stores located near the Philadelphia Food
Distribution Center. Design using sustainable LEED guidelines
without pursuing formal certification. Facility includes insulated
panel refrigerated and freezer warehouse, multiple loading docks,
holding tanks, demonstration kitchen, offices, and locker rooms.
Facility operates on 3 shifts.
MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
Rooftop AHU for office and retail spaces. Split system units for
refrigerated warehouse and freezer area. Supplemental electric
heat in all non-refrigerated areas.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
High Voltage electric service with outdoor switchgear and 2000
KVA transformer. Panels and transformers distributed throughout
the facility. Nema 4X equipment under 5 feet within wash down
areas of the facility. High Bay lighting and damp label, low temperature
fixtures in refrigerated areas. Provisions for owner furnished
equipment. Power to dock levelers, trash compactors, charging
stations and 5 and 10 ton ice making machines.
PLUMBING SYSTEMS
Fully sprinklered building , dry system in refrigerated areas
and wet system in office and wholesale/retail areas. Gas booster
system. Water booster system. Scale separation tanks. Floor drains.
Distributed ozone system for sanitation. Showers and locker rooms.
Roof drains. Diesel fire pump.
