PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
The primary focus of the University of Pennsylvania's Campus Master
Plan is to extend the design character of the central College Green
to the disparate common spaces throughout the campus. Chosen for
its core location among numerous prominent Campus buildings and
the University's hospital, this project redevelops four city blocks
of Spruce Street.
ELECTRICAL
ENGINEERING
Site lighting improvements on Spruce Street between 34th and 38th
Street. Connection for power from building along Spruce Street.
CIVIL ENGINEERING
Traffic calming measures were introduced to alleviate user conflicts
and to increase safety. Realignment of the curb for the entire four
blocks allowed for the provision of new granite curb cuts to better
define servicing, parking, drop-off areas and bus zones. Upgrades
to vendor cartways, standardization of lighting, landscape elements,
and paving were all part of the project scope.
