PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing for the expansion of private K-12 Montessori school to include gymnasium, classrooms and support spaces. Design will achieve LEED Silver rating. Project is awaiting approval.

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
To achieve LEED certification all classrooms to be designed with most the energy efficient HVAC units. Add Alternate: System upgrade to Green Building Options - geothermal heat pumps, geothermal wells to include high density polyethylene piping. Heat pumps (14 SEER) to include louvers for free cooling.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
To achieve LEED certification overall lighting shall consume less than 1.0 watt/SF and be controlled with occupancy sensors, daylight sensing and dual level switching. Provision for future photovoltaic panels to be installed at a later time. The array will be a grid-tied system that utilizes net-metering with utility company. The project is Commissioning to satisfy both LEED and Fundamental Building System and Additional Commissioning requirements.

PLUMBING SYSTEMS
All plumbing fixtures are of the metered, water saving type that will add LEED points, including waterless urinals.
